Section 61 CAMA 2020
Section 61 Companies and Allied Matters Act is about Statement of proposed secretary. It is under Chapter 2 (Re-registration Of Companies) of PART B (INCORPORATION OF COMPANIES AND INCIDENTAL MATTERS) of the Act.
Statement of proposed secretary
(1) The statement of the company’s proposed secretary shall contain the required particulars of the person or persons who is or are to be the secretary or joint secretaries of the company.
(2) The required particulars are those required to be stated in the company’s register of secretaries.
(3) The statement shall also contain consent by the person named as secretary, or each of the persons named as joint secretaries, to act in the relevant capacity and if all the partners in a firm are to be joint secretaries, consent may be given by one partner on behalf of all of them.
