Section 86 Land Registration Law (LRL) Lagos State 2015

Section 86 of the Land Registration Law (LRL) of Lagos State 2015 provides as follows:

(1) Where the State or a person is entitled to a registered land under the provisions of any Law, Order or Writ of Execution, the Registrar shall, on the receipt of notice of it in such form as he may require, register the State or such person as the holder of the land.

(2) Where any person fails to register as the holder of a land, sub-lease or mortgage, the principle of first in time is first in law shall apply.
