Section 84 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about Discretion in ex parte applications. It provides as follows:

Nothing contained in sections 81, 82, or 83 shall oblige any Magistrate to issue any such summons in any case where the application for an order may by Law be made ex parte.
