Section 79 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about Compelling appearance of a defendant. It provides as follows:

A Magistrate may issue a summons or warrant as set out to compel the appearance before him of any person alleged of having committed in any place, whether within or outside Nigeria, any offence triable in the State.
