Section 77 Copyright Act

Section 77 Copyright Act 2022 is about Establishment of the Nigerian Copyright Commission. It is under Part X (Establishment of Nigerian Copyright Commission and Copyright Administration) of the Act.

(1) There is established the Nigerian Copyright Commission (in this Act referred to as “the Commission”).

(2) The Commission —
(a) shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession ;
(b) shall have a common seal ;
(c) may acquire, hold or dispose any interest in property ; and
(d) may sue and be sued in its corporate name.
