Section 76 Sheriffs and Civil Process Act

Section 76 of the Sheriffs and Civil Process Act 1945 is about Imprisonment does not extinguish debt. It provides as follows:

No imprisonment under this Act shall operate as a satisfaction or extinguishment of
any debt, demand or cause of action, or deprive any person of any right to take out execution against the movable or immovable property of the person imprisoned in the same manner as if such imprisonment had not taken place.
