Section 71 Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984
Section 71 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 is about Microfilm copies. It provides as follows:
In any proceedings the contents of a document may (whether or not the document is still in existence) be proved by the production of an enlargement of a microfilm copy of that document or of the material part of it, authenticated in such manner as the court may approve.
… concerned are proceedings before a magistrates’ court inquiring into an offence as examining justices this section shall have effect with the omission of the words “authenticated in such manner as the court may approve.”
