Section 59 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about Effect of change of venue. It provides as follows:

Where any case shall be transferred from one place in a Division or District to another place in the same Division or District or to another Division or District, the case shall be tried and determined at the Division or District to which it has been so transferred; and all recognisances, subpoenas, and proceedings in or relating to the case shall thereupon be deemed to be returnable at a latter Division or District and all witnesses who are bound by recognisances or summoned to attend the trial shall be informed accordingly and shall attend at the latter Division or District.
