Section 57 Property and Conveyancing Law of the Western Region of Nigeria 1959

Section 57 of the Property and Conveyancing Law of the Western Region of Nigeria 1959 is about Reference of questions to court. It provides as follows:

If a question arises’ or a doubt is entertained

(a) respecting the exercise or intended exercise of any of the powers conferred by
this Law or any enactment replaced by this Law or the settlement, or any matter
relating thereto; or

(b) otherwise in relation to property subject to a settlement; the trustees, or any other person interested under the settlement, may apply to the court for its decision or directions thereon, or for the sanction of the court to any conditional contract, and
the court may make such order or give such directions respecting the matter as the
court thinks fit.
