Section 49 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about Power to release persons imprisoned for failure to give security. It provides as follows:

Whenever a Magistrate is of the opinion that a person imprisoned for failing to give security may be released without hazard to the community, the Magistrate shall order the person to be discharged.
