Section 483 Indian Penal Code

Section 483 of the Indian Penal Code 1860 is about Counterfeiting a property mark used by another. It is under CHAPTER XVIII (OF OFFENCES RELATING TO DOCUMENTS AND TO PROPERTY MARKS) of the Code.

Counterfeiting a property mark used by another

Whoever counterfeits any ¹ ***property mark used by any other person shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.
