Section 465 Indian Penal Code

Section 463 of the Indian Penal Code 1860 is about Punishment for forgery. It is under CHAPTER XVIII (OF OFFENCES RELATING TO DOCUMENTS AND TO PROPERTY MARKS) of the Code.

Punishment for forgery

Whoever commits forgery shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.
