Section 42 Nigeria Police Act

Section 42 of the Nigeria Police Act 2020 is about When public is bound to assist in arrest. It is under Part VII (Powers of Police Officers) of the Act. It provides as follows:

A person is bound to assist a judge, magistrate or police officer or other person reasonably demanding his aid in arresting or preventing the escape of a suspect whom the judge, magistrate, police officer or other person is authorised to arrest.
