Section 41 Property and Conveyancing Law of the Western Region of Nigeria 1959

Section 41 of the Property and Conveyancing Law of the Western Region of Nigeria 1959 is about Power to lease for ordinary or building purposes. It provides as follows:

The trustees for sale may lease the trust land, or any part thereof, or any
easement, right, or privilege of any kind over or in relation to the land for any
purpose whatever, whether involving waste or not, for any term not exceeding

(i) In case of a building lease, ninety-nine years;

(ii) In case of any other lease, fifty years.
