Section 37 Nigeria Police Act

Section 37 of the Nigeria Police Act 2020 is about Humane treatment of arrested suspect. It is under Part VII (Powers of Police Officers) of the Act. It provides as follows:

(1) A suspect shall-
(a) be accorded humane treatment, having regard to his right to the dignity of his person; and

(b) not be subjected to any form of torture, cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment.
