Section 36 Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL) Lagos

Section 36 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about Security for good behaviour for habitual offenders. It provides as follows:

Whenever a Magistrate is informed on oath that a person within the District habitually commits or conspires or attempts to commit, or aids or in the commission of, offences involving a breach of the peace, the Magistrate may,
in manner hereinafter provided require such person to show cause why he should not be ordered to enter into a recognisance, with surety, for his good behaviour for a period, not exceeding three years as the Magistrate thinks fit.
