Section 325 Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL) Lagos

Section 325 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about Varying of or discharging order for sureties. It provides as follows:

Where any person has been committed to prison by the Court for default in finding a surety or sureties, the Court may, on application made to it by such person or by some person acting on his behalf, inquire into the case of such person, and if new evidence is produced to the Court or on proof of a change of circumstances, the Court, having regard to all the circumstances of the case may reduce the amount for which it ordered that the surety or sureties should be bound, or dispense with the surety or sureties, or otherwise deal with the case as the Court shall deem just.
