Section 318 Investments and Securities Act

Section 318 of the Investments and Securities Act 2025 is about Constitution of the Tribunal. It is under Part XVII (Establishment, Jurisdiction, Authority and Procedure of The Investments and Securities Tribunal) of the Act. It provides as follows:

(1) The Tribunal shall have and exercise jurisdiction throughout the Federation, and the Chairman shall, for administrative purposes, divide the Federation into such number of divisions as may be deemed appropriate.

(2) For the purpose of exercising any jurisdiction conferred on it by this Act, the Tribunal shall be duly constituted if it consists of at least three members:

Provided that the member presiding over any such panel of the Tribunal shall be a legal practitioner.
