Section 317 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about Escaped prisoners: effect of escape on punishment. It provides as follows:

A person who escapes from lawful custody while undergoing a sentence involving deprivation of liberty is liable upon re-arrest to undergo the punishment which he was undergoing at the time of his escape, and for a term equal to that during which he was absent from prison.
