Section 31 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about Re-arrest of person escaping. It provides as follows:

If a person in lawful custody escapes or is rescued, the person from whose custody he escapes or is rescued or any other person may pursue and re-arrest him.
