Section 3 of the Legal Education (Consolidation, etc.) Act is about Additional functions of the Council. It provides as follows:

The Council shall in addition to the function conferred on it by section 1 (2) of this Act have responsibility for those matters in respect of which, before the commencement of this Act, the Nigerian Institute for Continuing Legal Education had responsibility.
