Section 288 Investments and Securities Act

Section 288 of the Investments and Securities Act 2025 is about Appropriation of revenue for sinking fund. It is under Part XVI (Issuance of Securities) of the Act. It provides as follows:

After the date specified in the particulars published under section 273 of this Act as the date from which contributions to the sinking fund for debt securities shall commence, and with the approval of the appropriate authority, at the end of each quarter or half-year with the interest payment dates specified in the particulars, the body shall appropriate out of its general revenue and assets, of the project, or such other verifiable source of revenue of the appropriate authority, a sum determined as the contribution to the sinking fund established for the purpose of redeeming the debt securities.
