Section 26 Recovery of Premises Act 1945

Section 26 Recovery of Premises Act 1945 is about Penalty for resisting or assaulting officers. It provides as follows:

A person who resists, molests, assaults or in any way obstructs any officer when engaged in the execution of such warrant as aforesaid, or any person appointed under section 17 of this Act and engaged in carrying out an order of a court is guilty of an offence under this Act and liable, on summary conviction, to a fine of one hundred naira or to imprisonment for six months or both such fine and imprisonment.
