Section 25 Sheriffs and Civil Process Act

Section 25 of the Sheriffs and Civil Process Act 1945 is about Goods which may be seized. It provides as follows:

Every sheriff or officer executing any writ of execution issued from a court against the goods or chattels of any person may by virtue thereof seize-

(a) any of the goods and chattels of that person, except the wearing apparel and
bedding of that person or his family and the tools and implements of his trade,
to the value of ten naira, which shall to that extent be protected from seizure;
and

(b) any money, bank-notes, bills of exchange, promissory notes, bonds, specialties
or securities for money belonging to that person.
