Section 231 Electricity Act 2023

Section 231 of the Electricity Act 2023 is about Repeal and savings provisions. It is under Part XXII (Final Provisions) of the Act.

(1) Except as otherwise provided in this Act, the Electric Power Sector Reform Act, No. 6, 2005 is repealed.

(2) The enactments set out in the Third Schedule to this Act are repealed.

(3) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1), anything done or any action taken or purported to have been done or taken including any rule, notification, inspection, order or notice made or issued or any appointment, confirmation or declaration made or any license, permission, authorisation or exemption granted or any document or instrument executed or any direction given under the Repealed Act shall, in so far as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be deemed to have been clone or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act.
