Section 222 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about Acquittal on ground of insanity (including insanity resulting from intoxication). It provides as follows:

Whenever any person is acquitted by virtue of any provision of the Criminal Law applicable in the State on the ground of insanity or mental disorder, the verdict of the Court before which the trial has been held, shall state specifically whether he committed the act alleged or not.
