Section 182 Property and Conveyancing Law of the Western Region of Nigeria 1959

Section 182 of the Property and Conveyancing Law of the Western Region of Nigeria 1959 is about Voluntary disposition of land: how far voidable as against purchasers. It provides as follows:

(1) Every voluntary disposition of land made with intent to defraud a subsequent purchaser is voidable at the instance of that purchaser.

(2) For the purposes of this section, no voluntary disposition, whenever made, shall
be deemed to have been made with intent to defraud by reason only that a subsequent conveyance for valuable consideration was made, if such subsequent conveyance was made after the thirty-first day of December, eighteen hundred and ninety-nine.
