Section 160 Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018

Section 160 of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 is about Decisions of the Commission to be in writing. It is under Part XVIII (Miscellaneous Provisions) of the Act.

(1) Any finding or decision given by the Commission under or for the purpose of this Act shall be sufficiently given in writing under the seal of the Commission or if signed by one or more members of the Commission or by an officer or employee of the Commission authorised for that purpose.

(2) A copy of a finding or decision of the Commission, certified to be a true copy by an officer or employee of the Commission authorised in that behalf to certify copies of determinations or decisions of the Commission shall be
received in all courts as evidence of the determination or decision.

(3) A document purporting to be a copy of a determination or decision of the Commission and certified to be a true copy in accordance with subsection (2), unless the contrary is established, shall be deemed to be a copy and to be so certified.
