Section 15 Nigeria Police Act

Section 15 of the Nigeria Police Act 2020 is about Pensions and gratuities. It is under Part IV (Appointment and Functions etc. of the Deputy Inspector-General Of Police, Assistant Inspectors-General of Police, Commissioners of Police and other Persons into the Nigeria Police Force) of the Act. It provides as follows:

(1) Persons appointed to offices under this Part are entitled to such pensions, gratuities and other retirement benefits as are prescribed under the Pension Reform Act.

(2) Nothing in this Act prevents the appointment of a person to any office on terms which preclude the grant of a pension, gratuity or other retirement benefits in respect of that office.
