Section 135 Investments and Securities Act

Section 135 of the Investments and Securities Act 2025 is about Dissemination of illegal information. It is under Part XI (Trading in Securities) of the Act. It provides as follows:

A person shall not disseminate, or authorise or participate in the dissemination of any statement or illegal information which is likely to increase, reduce or maintain the price of any securities by reason of any transaction entered into or things done in relation to the securities if the person or a person associated with that person has —
(a) entered into any such transaction or done any such act or thing; or

(b) received or expects to receive directly or indirectly any consideration or benefit for disseminating, authorising or being concerned in the circulation or dissemination of the statement or information.
