Section 13 Nigeria Police Act

Section 13 of the Nigeria Police Act 2020 is about Functions, of Commissioners of Police of States. It is under Part IV (Appointment and Functions etc. of the Deputy Inspector-General Of Police, Assistant Inspectors-General of Police, Commissioners of Police and other Persons into the Nigeria Police Force) of the Act. It provides as follows:

(1) Subject to the provisions this Act, the Commissioner of Police of a State or the Federal Capital Territory shall –
(a) have command and control over the . Police in the State he is assigned to ;

(b) exercise powers and perform the functions necessary to give effect to sections 4 of this Act ; and

(c) perform any duty delegated to him by the Inspector-General of Police.
