Section 12 Recovery of Premises Act

Section 12 Recovery of Premises Act 1945 is about Landlord may claim for mesne profits. It provides as follows:

The landlord may, either together with his writ or plaint for the recovery of the premises or in answer to a claim or counterclaim made in respect of any unexhausted improvements as hereinafter provided, claim to recover, or to set-off, rent or mesne profits, or both, accruing in respect of the premises since the ending or determination of the tenancy down to the day appointed for the hearing, or to a preceding day named in the plaint.
