Section 119 Property and Conveyancing Law of the Western Region of Nigeria 1959

Section 119 of the Property and Conveyancing Law of the Western Region of Nigeria 1959 is about Priorities as between mortgages. It provides as follows:

Every mortgage affecting a legal estate in land made after the commencement
of this Law whether legal or equitable shall rank according to its date of registration under the Land Instruments Registration Law.

This section does not apply to mortgages or charges of land registered under the
Land Titles Registration Law.
