Section 104 Nigeria Police Act

Section 104 of the Nigeria Police Act 2020 is about Persons acquitted by the court not to be tried for the same offence under this Act. It is under Part XII (Offences) of the Act. It provides as follows:

(1) A person who has been acquitted by a court of any offence shall not be tried on the same charge or suffer any punishment under this Act

(2) Where a police officer has been convicted by a court for an offence, he is not liable to be punished for the same offence under this Act, but may have his rank or grade reduced or be dismissed from the Police Force.
