Rule 48 Rules of Professional Conduct for Legal Practitioners
Rule 48 of the Rules of Professional Conduct for Legal Practitioners (RPC) 2023 is about Fees for legal service. It is under Part VI (Remuneration and Fees) of Chapter 1 (Conduct) of the Rules. It provides as follows:
(1) A lawyer is entitled to be paid adequate remuneration for his service to the client.
(2) A lawyer shall not enter into an agreement for, charge or collect any fee in violation of the Remuneration Order made pursuant to section 15 of the Legal Practitioners Act.
