Section 2 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about No unnecessary restraint. It provides as follows:

A person arrested shall not be handcuffed, bound or be subjected to unnecessary restraint except by order of a Court or Justice of the Peace unless there is reasonable apprehension of violence or of an attempt to escape or unless the restraint is considered necessary for the safety of the person arrested.
