Section 8 Rent Control and Recovery of Residential Premises Law

Section 8 of the Rent Control and Recovery of Residential Premises Law of Lagos State 1997 is about Proceedings of a Tribunal. It provides as follows:

(1) The proceedings of a Tribunal shall be held in public.

(2) The judgment or any order of the Tribunal shall bind all persons including the
landlord, tenant or mortgagee of a building where the accommodation is situated.

(3) A Tribunal shall have power to examine witness on oath, and to summon any
person to give evidence or to produce any document which it considers relevant
including any document or title.
