5 U.S. Code § 8410

5 U.S. Code § 8410 is about Eligibility for annuity. It is under Subchapter II (Basic Annuity) of Chapter 84 (Federal Employees’ Retirement system) of Subpart G (Insurance And Annuities) of Part III (Employees) of Title 5 (Government Organizations and Employees) of the Code.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, an employee or Member must complete at least 5 years of civilian service creditable under section 8411 in order to be eligible for an annuity under this subchapter.
