Section 9 NDLEA Act
Section 9 of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act 1989 is about Training programme. It provides as follows:
The Agency shall initiate, develop or improve a specific training programme for its
law enforcement and other personnel charged with responsibility for the suppression of offences created by this Act and such programme shall include-
(a) methods used in the detection and suppression of offences under this Act;
(b) routes and techniques used by persons involved in offences under this Act and appropriate counter-measures;
(c) monitoring of the import and export of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances;
(d) detection and monitoring of the movement of proceeds and property derived from narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and instrumentalities used or intended to be used in the commission of offences under this Act;
(e) methods used for the transfer, concealment or disguise of such proceeds, property and instrumentalities;
(f) collection of evidence;
(g) law-enforcement techniques; and
(h) dissemination of information about drug laws.
