Section 294 Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL) Lagos

Section 294 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about Restoration of possession of immovable property. It provides as follows:

(1) Whenever a person is convicted of an offence involving the use of force and it appears to the Court that by such force, any person has been dispossessed of any immovable property, the Court may, if it deems fit, order the possession of same to be restored to such person.

(2) No such order shall prejudice any right or interest to or in such immovable property which any person, including the person convicted, may be able to establish in a civil suit.
