Section 261 Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL) Lagos

Section 261 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about Application of Law to trials. It provides as follows:

In addition to the provisions of sections 253 to 267 and other express provisions of this Law or any other enactment relating to trials of offences triable on information, the provisions of this Law relating to evidence, adjournment, addresses, the discharge and sentencing of convicted persons, the award of compensation, costs and the directing and ordering of forfeitures and also all other incidental matters relating to the trial of a case other than those specifically mentioned, shall be applicable to a trial on information.
