Section 204 Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL) Lagos

Section 204 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about Prohibition of children in court during the trial of other persons. It provides as follows:

No child other than an infant in arms shall be permitted to be present in Court during the trial of any person charged with an offence or during any proceedings of the Court and if so present, shall be ordered to be removed unless he is the person charged with the alleged offence or his presence is required as a witness or otherwise for the purposes of justice in such case he shall remain for so long as his presence is necessary.
