Section 188 Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State, as amended in 2021, is about Writs of subpoena. It provides as follows:

Every person whose attendance as a witness, whether for the prosecution or for the defence, is required in any case, and who has not been bound by recognisance to attend as a witness at the criminal sessions in which such
case is to be tried, may be summoned by a writ of subpoena.
