Section 241 Investments and Securities Act

Section 241 of the Investments and Securities Act 2025 is about Revocation and suspension of warehouse registration. It is under Part XV (Commodities Exchange and Warehouse Receipts) of the Act. It provides as follows:

(1) The Commission may revoke or suspend the registration of a warehouse for any violation of the provisions of this Act after granting to the warehouse operator the opportunity of being heard.

(2) Where the registration of a warehouse is revoked or suspended, the warehouse operator shall take such steps as prescribed in the rules and regulations made under this Act.

(3) The revocation or suspension of a registration under the provisions of this Act or the rules and regulations made under it shall not affect the validity of receipts issued by an issuer of warehouse receipts.
