Section 235 Investments and Securities Act
Section 235 of the Investments and Securities Act 2025 is about Revocation of registration. It is under Part XV (Commodities Exchange and Warehouse Receipts) of the Act. It provides as follows:
(1) The Commission may revoke any instrument of registration granted if the body corporate ceases to operate as a commodity exchange, is being wound up, operating in a manner detrimental to public interest, or has provided to the Commission any information that was false or misleading in a material particular.
(2) A body corporate shall be deemed to have ceased to operate as a commodity exchange if it has ceased to operate for more than 180 days unless it has obtained the approval of the Commission to do so, or by virtue of any directive issued by the Commission.
