Section 198 Investments and Securities Act
Section 198 of the Investments and Securities Act 2025 is about Establishment of an investor protection fund. It is under Part XIV (Investor Protection Fund) of the Act. It provides as follows:
(1) An exchange shall establish and maintain a fund to be known as the investor protection fund.
(2) An investor protection fund shall be administered by a board of trustees’ subject to the regulatory supervision of the Commission.
(3) The assets of an investor protection fund shall be vested in the board of trustees and kept separate and applied for the purposes as set out in this Part.
