Section 85 Nigeria Police Act

Section 85 of the Nigeria Police Act 2020 is about Information of plan to commit offence. It is under Part IX (Prevention of Offences and Security for Good Behaviour) of the Act. It provides as follows:

A police officer receiving information of a plan to commit any offence shall communicate the information to the police officer to whom he is subordinate, and to any other officer whose duty it is to prevent or take cognizance of the commission of the offence.
