5 U.S. Code § 8126

5 U.S. Code § 8126 is about Subpenas; oaths; examination of witnesses. It is under Subchapter I (Generally) of Chapter 81 (Compensation For Work Injuries) of Subpart G (Insurance And Annuities) of Part III (Employees) of Title 5 (Government Organizations and Employees) of the Code.

The Secretary of Labor, on any matter within his jurisdiction under this subchapter, may—


(1)issue subpenas for and compel the attendance of witnesses within a radius of 100 miles;


(2)administer oaths;


(3)examine witnesses; and


(4)require the production of books, papers, documents, and other evidence.
