Section 96 Electricity Act 2023

Section 96 of the Electricity Act 2023 is about Expenditure of the N-HYPPADEC. It is under Part VIII (Establishment of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission) of the Act.

The N-HYPPADEC shall apply the proceeds of the Fund established under section 95 of this Act to —

(a) the cost of administration of the N-HYPPADEC;
(b) the payment of salaries, fees, remuneration, allowances, pensions and gratuities payable under this Act;
(c) the payment for all contracts, including mobilisation, fluctuations, variations, legal fees and cost on contract administration;

(d) the payment for all purchases; and
(e) undertake such other activities as are connected with all or any of the functions of the N-HYPPADEC under this Act.
