The Security Council,

Having considered the communication from the Secretary-General dated 13 May 1949,

1. Takes note of General Assembly resolution 268 B (Ill) of 28 April 1949:

2. Decides, should an appropriate occasion arise, to base its action upon the principles contained therein.

Adopted at the 472nd meeting by 10 votes to none.
